1. Pour One cupful of white vinegar into the bottom of your vacant dishwasher. Do not put it in the soap dispenser. Stream it directly into the bottom of the dishwashing machine itself.
2. Run the dishwashing machine on its hottest setting for an entire cycle. Do not select “rinse only.”
3. Once the dishwashing machine is finished, you are able to fill it and run it as usual.
Some sources advise waiting until the bottom of the dishwashing machine has filled with hot water prior to opening the dishwashing machine door and streaming in the cupful of vinegar.
A different formula for cleansing your dishwashing machine with vinegar is to place a bowl in the bottom rack. Here’s what you do:
1. Pour three cupfuls of white vinegar into a bowl or other container.
2. Put the bowl on the lower rack of your vacant dishwashing machine.
3. Run the dishwashing machine on its hottest cycle and allow it finish the entire cycle.
4. Remove the bowl and fill up and use your dishwasher as usual.
Due to its acidic nature, vinegar helps get rid of soap buildup in your dishwashing machine. It likewise removes hard water stains and obliterates germs. And it is really affordable.
