Neroli Complexion Serum Recipe | Natural Holistic Health Blog

This fragrant face oil will nourish and tone the skin. Exposure to the elements and overheated homes during cooler months are two reasons people experience dry skin.

Other culprits are synthetic soaps and alcohol-based toners, which strip moisture from the skin. People often assume that their faces are clean when the skin feels tight after cleansing, but this is really just the surfactants removing the good oils that protect your skin.

Most people are reluctant to apply oils to their face for fear that it will clog the pores or cause the skin to break out. This is absolutely not true if you are using genuine essential oils and an organic

carrier oil

. In Europe, oils for the face are an accepted part of skin care.

This complexion serum has a base of

hazelnut

oil, which is slightly astringent and is absorbed quite readily into the skin, and borage seed oil, which is high in gamma linoleic acid, a fatty acid found in collagen.

These oils alone will feed the skin better than any synthetic compounds found in commercial cosmetic preparations.

Neroli

is particularly valuable in this blend for its ability to regulate activity of the capillaries and restore vitality to the skin.
